You, Me & WUFT
The Gainesville area’s first tv station, WUFT-TV signed on the air on November 10, 1958. Since then, we’ve been proud to always offer “more voices, more choices” through our partnership with PBS. Our local news content is produced by UF students under the direction of WUFT-TV staffers, and our news content pro partners include CNN NewSource, NBC NewsChannel and Florida’s NBC stations, the ABC network family of media outlets, and AccuWeather.
Your financial support can help us serve the public and shape the next generation of broadcast journalists who learn at the University of Florida and WUFT. Here are 3 great ways to support UF’s tv news instructional sequence & student operations:
1. Donate to WUFT’s “Fusion Fund”, which directly serves news students across multiple media platforms. Checks made payable to WUFT-TV should have a “Fusion Fund” note in the memo line and be sent to: WUFT-TV News Fusion Fund, Weimer Hall, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL 32611
2. Give to Friends of Five to support a robust, community-service-driven WUFT-DT, WLUF-LP, and www.wuft.tv.
