Photo By Numbers

Ray Carson is a photographic artist who has done over 40 shows featuring different aspects of his work. He has also been the author and photographer of 3 books: "The Civil War Soldier- A Photographic Journey,” "Palm and Pines" and "Gainesville- Alive with Opportunity" He is presently working on a 4th book called "Grave Remarks" which is showcases cemetery art and symbolism.

Voices Carry

The co-ed a cappella group “No Southern Accent” formed in 2001 and is an official student organization comprised of UF students with different majors, grade levels and career goals. These students arrange their music, lead rehearsals, book performances and participates in fundraising events. And, NSA performs an arrangement of Billy Joel’s The Longest Time with special “Gator” lyrics.

Young at Heart

Rose E. Grier is an award-winning artist who creates her art based on the inspiration of the words other artists provide her. She sketches images for writers to include in their stories that both illustrate and illuminate their messages, while also satisfying her own artistic needs. She says that the diversity of each writer’s content is so fertile it requires the mind’s eye to see far and wide.

Liquid Art

Virginia Chen has been painting and exhibiting her work in the Gainesville area since 1980. Although she studied science in college, her real love was art. Watercolor is Virginia's first choice of expression. She finds the media provides the unique qualities of transparency, clarity, freshness, and pure spontaneity.
